Sigma mixer
Product Introduction
High-viscosity material does not circulate like water in a standard mixer. It folds, tears and climbs around the blades, so the shafts and seals carry a steady side load. A Sigma layout is useful when that deep fold is the process the product needs.
This Sigma type mixing machine is arranged around that working reality. The twin blades build the fold, while the frame and drive train keep a heavy batch moving without turning every overload into a maintenance event.

Product Features & Application
The WEG motor and Guomao reducer provide the torque for dense rubber, food paste and similar compounds. Four NSK bearings hold the shafts in line, protecting the seals and preserving the blade gap.
- A Siemens inverter allows the operator to adjust speed as the batch changes. Schneider and Chint components protect the cabinet, while heating, cooling, contact material and discharge can be aligned with the application.
- A recipe may need a gentle start and a firmer fold later. The inverter gives the operator that adjustment without changing the mechanical fold, and thermal, contact and discharge details can be matched to the line around the mixer.
- If the batch changes with temperature, the operator can alter the speed without changing the mechanical fold. Thermal, contact and discharge details are then matched to the line around the mixer.
Core Components & Features
A Sigma mixer is judged by the quality of its fold and the reliability of its drive. The notes below explain the component choices in terms a production and maintenance team can check.

WEG Motor
The WEG motor is sized for the moment when the Sigma blades meet the densest part of the batch. The 20 L reference entry uses a 4 kW motor and 48/36 rpm blade speed; larger models are checked against their own batch load.
Guomao Gear Reducer
The Guomao reducer keeps the twin shafts in a forceful working range. Ratio and service factor are reviewed with material density, cycle time and the selected thermal or discharge option.
Siemens Inverter
A Siemens inverter lets production move from loading to deeper kneading without a fixed-speed compromise. Operators can protect a sensitive recipe or add turnover when the material permits it.
NSK Bearing
NSK bearing support absorbs the radial load generated by a dense Sigma batch. Stable shafts protect the seal arrangement and keep the blade relationship consistent over long runs.
Schneider Electrical Components
Schneider components give the panel a recognizable protection and switching structure. The electrical layout can be matched to the customer's supply, interlocks and maintenance team.
Applications
Sigma blades are useful where the product needs folding and kneading rather than simple agitation. The examples below are starting points for a material trial, not a promise that every paste behaves the same way.

Rubber & Plastics
Rubber, elastomer and plastic compounds can be worked through the deep Sigma fold without depending on free-flowing behaviour. Drive and temperature options are selected from the compound's resistance.

Food Materials
Dough, confectionery bases and thick fillings need a clean, strong working zone. Stainless contact parts, polish and discharge access can be specified around the recipe and cleaning routine.

Chemical & Adhesive Materials
Resins, sealants and adhesive pastes often become more resistant as the batch develops. The Sigma action and adjustable speed help keep the material in contact with both blades.

Pharmaceutical Materials
Some controlled medical or nutraceutical compounds can use the same folding principle when the sanitary specification is compatible. Contact finish, seal and cleaning evidence are reviewed before approval.
Production Details
Complete Sigma mixer production layout
The complete Sigma layout shows an enclosed twin-blade chamber, heavy base and side drive with clear service zones. The working geometry is visible without exposing the operator to the moving assembly.
Blade profile, working volume, contact steel, thermal circuit and discharge method are confirmed from the batch. For reference, the 100 L table entry lists 70 L working capacity and an 11 kW motor; the production drawing then shows how the selected machine fits the customer's line.
Product Qualification & Inspection Support
Sigma-mixer PDI can include no-load rotation, bearing temperature, blade and chamber inspection, weld appearance, control response and the agreed contact or discharge details. Final records match the ordered machine.

Delivery, Shipping and Service
The frame is coated for transport, secured to a steel skid and packed inside reinforced timber. We provide loading photographs, a 12-month warranty and remote installation guidance for the receiving team.
FAQ
Q: What is the difference between a Sigma mixer and a simple stirrer?
A: Sigma blades fold and knead a thick mass through a confined working zone. That action suits doughs, rubber and pastes that do not circulate like a liquid.
Q: Can the Sigma mixer be heated or cooled?
A: A jacket or another agreed thermal arrangement can be discussed when the batch needs it. We review temperature, viscosity and utility availability first.
