Product Introduction

Air and low-molecular volatiles can stay hidden in a high-viscosity compound until the product is moulded. Pulling vacuum helps, but a loose shaft line or poorly separated seal can create a new problem by drawing lubricant toward the batch.

This vacuum processing mixer is arranged around degassing and material purity. The chamber, vacuum connection, bearing support and sealing zones are specified together so the customer can see how negative pressure will be held during a heavy knead.

Product Features & Application

A WEG motor and Guomao reducer keep the rubber or plastic compound moving while the vacuum removes air. Siemens speed control helps the operator balance shear and degassing time, and Schneider/Chint components protect the drive and vacuum auxiliaries. Four NSK bearings help limit shaft deflection, while PTFE packing or an upgraded mechanical seal can be discussed for the required vacuum. The standard design can hold approximately -0.095 MPa when the final seal and utility scope are confirmed.

Core Components & Features

Vacuum is only useful when the material stays clean and the chamber stays sealed. The component choices below show how the drive and vacuum boundary are treated as one process package.

WEG Motor

The WEG motor is sized for the stiff compound, not for an empty chamber under vacuum. That reserve keeps the batch moving while negative pressure changes the way the material loads the blades.

Guomao Gear Reducer

The Guomao reducer provides controlled torque at a speed that supports folding and air release. Its service factor is checked against batch density, vacuum hold time and any heating requirement.

Siemens Inverter

A Siemens inverter lets the operator use one speed for wetting and another for the degassing stage. The profile can be repeated when the formulation's air or volatile content changes.

NSK Bearing

NSK bearings support the shafts against the heavy radial load while helping keep the sealing gap stable. Alignment is central to limiting oil back-suction and preserving the vacuum boundary.

Schneider Electrical Components

Schneider electrical components give the panel a familiar protection and switching base for the kneader, vacuum pump and alarms. The scope is matched to the plant supply and the customer's vacuum-control practice.

Applications

Vacuum processing is valuable when voids, moisture or volatiles would reduce the final product's strength or appearance. These examples identify material families that commonly need a controlled negative-pressure stage.

application-rubber-plastics

Rubber & Plastics

Rubber and plastic compounds can trap air during a long, dense knead. A stable vacuum path helps release that air while the Sigma or Z blades continue to build a compact, usable compound.

application-chemical-adhesive

Chemical & Adhesive Materials

Solvent-bearing resins and adhesives may need controlled extraction as viscosity rises. Seal material, vacuum level and vent arrangement are selected from the formulation rather than from a generic pump rating.

application-carbon-new-materials

Carbon & New Materials

Carbon pastes and filled binder systems can hold moisture or small voids that are difficult to remove later. Vacuum, speed and temperature can be tuned together to improve the final density.

application-laboratory-rd

Laboratory & R&D

Development batches can use vacuum to compare the effect of air removal before a production decision is made. A visible gauge and recorded hold test give the R&D team evidence to carry into scale-up.

Production Details

The vacuum vessel, gauge and protected connections make the air-removal route visible around the enclosed kneading chamber. The side drive and support base remain arranged for routine service.

Vacuum system and gauge assembly

Vacuum level, seal type, gauge range, venting, contact finish and thermal utility are confirmed from the material's gas and moisture behaviour. This keeps the vacuum system tied to the actual batch rather than to a label.

Product Qualification & Inspection Support

Vacuum-kneader PDI can include pump operation, vacuum-hold testing, gauge response, shaft rotation, bearing temperature, seal inspection, weld review and the agreed utility connections. CE/EMC examples are references; final certificates and records must match the shipped vacuum package.

Delivery, Shipping and Service

Vacuum ports are protected and sealed, the heavy frame is fixed to a steel skid and the machine is braced in reinforced timber. We provide loading photographs, a 12-month warranty and remote guidance for seal checks, line connection and initial evacuation.

FAQ

Q: How is bearing oil kept out of the vacuum chamber?

A: Shaft alignment and separated sealing zones reduce the path between the bearing and the negative-pressure area. PTFE packing or mechanical seals can be selected after we review the vacuum level and material.

Q: Can the kneader run with heat and vacuum together?

A: Yes, when the chamber, seal and utility package are designed for it. Share the working temperature, target vacuum and batch behaviour so the systems can be checked together.

Q: What vacuum level can the machine hold?

A: The standard design can be discussed around approximately -0.095 MPa, subject to the final seal, pump and material conditions. The required hold time should be included in the RFQ.
