Product Introduction

Some compounds generate their own heat as they are worked. With BMC, SMC, fast-curing adhesive or another heat-sensitive formulation, a few degrees can decide whether the batch remains usable or begins to set inside the chamber. This industrial cooling kneader treats heat removal as a process variable. The jacket, optional hollow Z blades and drive profile are considered together so the machine can continue to build shear without letting the working mass run away thermally.

Product Features & Application

The primary jacket surrounds the mixing zone and can be arranged for the customer's chilled water or other cooling utility. When the centre of the batch needs more direct heat removal, hollow blades can be added for internal circulation. The WEG motor and Guomao reducer keep the compound moving as cooling changes its resistance. Siemens speed control, with Schneider and Chint electrical protection, gives operators a practical way to balance torque, residence time and temperature.

Core Components & Features

Cooling performance depends on more than a jacket name. The component selection below connects thermal control with the mechanical load that appears as the material cools and thickens.

WEG Motor

The WEG motor is selected for the higher resistance that often appears after the compound has been cooled. That reserve helps prevent a temperature-control strategy from creating a new torque problem.

Guomao Gear Reducer

Guomao reduction gives the shafts usable torque at a speed that matches the heat-transfer plan. The ratio is reviewed with batch viscosity, cooling utility and the expected kneading time.

Siemens Inverter

A Siemens inverter lets the operator adjust blade speed when the batch moves between wetting, high-shear and heat-removal stages. Slower running can protect a sensitive formulation; a controlled increase can recover turnover when the material permits it.

NSK Bearing

NSK bearings support the shaft line while friction and thermal cycling change the load. Good alignment protects seals and keeps the blade sweep consistent across the cooled chamber.

Schneider Electrical Components

Schneider components give the control cabinet a clear protection and switching structure for the drive and cooling auxiliaries. Panel functions can be matched to the plant supply and the customer's preferred alarm points.

Applications

Cooling is useful when the formulation has a narrow working window. These examples show the material families most often discussed for a jacketed or internally cooled kneader.

application-rubber-plastics

Rubber & Plastics

Rubber compounds and plastic blends can build friction heat quickly, especially as the batch becomes less mobile. Jacket cooling and, when justified, hollow blades help keep the compound workable without stopping the cycle.

application-chemical-adhesive

Chemical & Adhesive Materials

Fast-curing adhesives and exothermic resins need a machine that removes heat while maintaining a useful kneading action. The cooling area and utility connections are selected from the reaction profile and batch size.

application-carbon-new-materials

Carbon & New Materials

Filled carbon pastes often become harder as they cool, so temperature and torque have to be read together. A controlled cooling path gives process teams more room to tune binder wetting and final consistency.

application-food-materials

Food Materials

Some food bases and confectionery compounds need gentle heat removal to protect texture. If this application is relevant, the contact finish, cleaning method and cooling utility are included in the sanitary specification.

Production Details

The exterior layout shows a jacketed mixing body, a side-mounted drive and the service points used for the cooling circuit. The machine footprint keeps the thermal system close to the working chamber rather than treating it as a separate afterthought.

Cooling medium, flow connection, jacket area and any hollow-blade option are confirmed from the batch heat profile. That information determines the final utility layout and makes the production drawing easier to review.

Product Qualification & Inspection Support

A cooled kneader PDI can include a no-load drive run, bearing-temperature check, weld and jacket inspection, control-response test and a review of the agreed utility connections. CE/EMC images are reference examples; final records and certificates must correspond to the shipped model and market.

Delivery, Shipping and Service

The base and exposed steel receive industrial anti-rust protection before the machine is fixed to a transport skid. A reinforced wooden crate, loading photographs and clear utility notes support the overseas handover. The service package includes a 12-month warranty and remote start-up guidance.

FAQ

Q: Is an external jacket enough for an exothermic batch?

A: It may be, depending on viscosity, heat release and batch size. We can compare jacket duty with a hollow-blade circuit after reviewing the temperature curve and cooling utility.

Q: Will the batch become too stiff when it is cooled?

A: The drive and cooling plan are reviewed together. A WEG motor, torque-matched reducer and adjustable speed give the operator room to keep the material moving as resistance rises.
